2nd Annual ATS East Coast Meditation Retreat
Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 5:00pm until Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 3:00pm
This silent retreat with Noah and ATS Teachers, is a chance to experience an extended period of meditation that is so vital to our practice. There will be periods of sitting and walking meditation, with instructions and daily dharma talks.
Retreats offer the opportunity to move deeply into our experience and know the poignancy of the human condition and the capacity of the heart. This form of practice supports our deepest intention to be free. This retreat is especially good for those who are unable to get away for extended retreats or those who are in their first few years of practice. All are welcome to attend.

Buddhist 12 Step Retreat with Kevin Griffin
September 20-23 at Kripalu in Lennox, MA
The Buddha said that craving is the cause of suffering. Twelve-Step programs work with the deepest forms of craving—our addictions. How can these two traditions work together?
Join Kevin Griffin, a leader in the mindful-recovery movement and one of the founders of the Buddhist Recovery Network, for a unique meditation retreat combining traditional Buddhist practice with Twelve-Step work.
Using silent insight meditation, interactive exercises, lectures, and discussion, this workshop explores the ways that Buddhism and the Twelve Steps complement each other. Topics include powerlessness, higher power, inventory, amends, spiritual awakening, and other questions. The emphasis is on bringing mindfulness to all activities, whether in formal meditation, walking, speaking, listening, or eating. Kevin has added a day to this popular retreat so you can go deeper with your meditation practice and explore the path of recovery more fully.

Hi I came Saturday to the meditation in recovery meeting but no one was there. Should I call before I come? I travel from Providence. Thanks

So sorry you made the trek and we weren’t there! Rebel Recovery is actually on hiatus for August but we will be returning in the fall.

Hi. My partner and I are planning to come to today’s meditation with Noah Levine. We haven’t been before. Are there any arrangements for kids (ages 10 and 8) or should we leave them at home?
Thanks for any info you can provide! Jodi
